The new SEO competition called the Busby SEO Challenge has recently begun, and this gives us the chance to employ some or most of our SEO skills and at the same time vie for some cash. Having talked to the boss, he has given me the green light to join the competition and keep the proceeds of winnings (if any) so long as the competition does not affect any of the projects I'm working on.

For me it's just another way to break the monotony of doing repeated task over and over, and [will provide me the opportunity to experiment on new techniques and concepts during the process without having to worry about the consequences. No nasty clients to critique techniques and concepts that I do choose to employ. Basically it will be a chance to further explorer the ever changing world of SEO and have the freedom to do so using whatever resources I have at my disposal.

Even though it sounds good being able to do as I wish, the time I have in hand for this task is quite limited as I will have to squeeze doing the Busby SEO Challenge somewhere in my work schedule. I don;t want to have to do this stuff during my free or leisure time, I'm not sure about everyone else but my free time is what it is, Free Time.

Anyway to start off, I will for the rest of the contest rely only on one site, this site on a new sub domain. Yes this is a blog set-up but I'll stick to one site for a few reasons, and main one being I simply won't have the time to build the more sites to what I would want it them to be. All updates will be done to this page only and the rest will rely on off-page optimization. There will of course be things I will be doing to this site during the process but it will all be experimental and I guess I have to give some props to the Busby SEO Challenge for giving me an opportunity to test a few SEO concepts on my mind.
